A musical about the strange workings of the Prinder Institute, where rumours of experimental psychology have created a media frenzy. A new doctor joins the team and gets close to a patient, gradually unravelling secrets. The narrative examines what it is to be uniquely human and damaged – you can program the mind, but can you create a soul? Zany humour offsets darkness, but love and passion infuse the underlying tale of a jilted bride. Firmly rooted in the present, the work of the Institute feels but a breath away in our increasingly digital, yet emotionally-fragmented world. The music is contemporary, mixing strong ensemble anthems, with power ballads, quirky duets and group numbers.
