Why write for the stage?

Writing dialogue relies on the bare bones of the characters - they take the reins and that's a thrill. Even more so when actors find levels you didn't know were there.

Why does it inspire you?

There is nothing quite the same as the buzz of a stage. Anything seems possible, but it's also a shared space, where you open the creative process and invite others to join you. Scary, but so rewarding.

Who do you write with?

I feel very lucky to collaborate with composer Kaye Tompkins, who is an incredible talent. We work as The Writing Team. Our thanks to everyone who has sponsored, performed, crewed or designed our shows. An amazing group of creatives.
