“Hannah wanted to save her own world and couldn’t. She won’t turn her back on ours. There is a reason she survived. Not for us, but for Cloud.”
Set in a dystopian future on the planet Cloud, the remnants of the human race struggle to survive as Earth takes her final breath. The sole survivor of the last ship arrives, First Officer Hannah Timara. Through her eyes we experience the lives, loves and hardship in this distant community. We learn of the Keeper’s feminine wisdom, entrusted with moral guidance but imprisoned in celibacy, of political rivalry that threatens to pull this society apart, of rebellious young passions and of the fear that holds everyone back. Trapped within a craggy strip of volcanic coastline, can they survive and will Hannah help them grow or bring destruction to this world?
With a lyrical, harmonic score that echoes the surrounding sea and wild storms, this musical has the heart to unite cast and audience in a shared plea. It yearns for human redemption and celebrates all that we could be.
